RE: IML: Removing paint from a light lens



The method would be similar to stripping paint from old model
cars/trains/planes/etc.  I've had success with using brake fluid (DOT 3) or
Castrol Super Clean.  You will need to let the part soak in either,
preferably in a closed container.  Then the paint will lift off.  Wash it
thoroughly before reinstalling it on the car.  

I'm surprised the nail polish remover didn't fog the lens.
