Just speculating, but if your fluid loss is greater, when the engine is running, that means it's a pressure loss.The oil cooler lines, and worse the input shaft seal are under pressure when the engine is running.The cooler lines are no big issue, however the input-shaft seal requires transmission removal.It also seems that, with discolored, burnt fluid , and several slipping events, I suspect clutch and band damage.When the trans. is removed, be sure to replace the freeze plugs on the back of the engine block.Ya'll have a nice day, Dave.
