Got the car back, it runs perfectly.Found that the plugs were gapped at 30 instead of 35, BUT:A vacuum leak under the dash was causing the backfiring and flat spotting!Anyway, it has been cleaned and detailed and all the wiring under the hood was replaced and it runs like a top.
