Re: IML: Seatbelts needed for 61

Hi Frank

I might might be able to help with the floor locations, but with the transmission change in '62, I'm not sure if the tunnel dimenissions were changed as well as the noticably smaller transmission hump.  Come to think of it, the '62 that's out at the farm may have belts.  I'm going out there this weekend and I'll check.  At any event, I'm sure I can come up with something for you.

Hmmm, A plain aircraft style with nothing Imperial specific about them? If thats so maybe I will just order from JC Whitney, the price is right. My car has a greenish/blue cloth interior like the ones you see in a 61 custom.  I need to figure out the right length, the generic ones I have are too short unless I adjust the seat way back. I also wish I knew the correct hole locations under the back seat, I read somewhere that some cars have plugs where the seatbelt bolt would go but mine doesn't seen to have any.

That is the style that my '60 came with from the factory, only the webing was white to go with the white leather.

Hola Frank

What you may think think as the "air-craft" style seat belts are what was used in yester-year.  Just look for the flip the large chrome lid, black webing type that bolt to the floor.

My 61 never came with seatbelts. I would really like to find an original set. I imagine a 62 or 63 parts car could have the correct buckles.
