On some thread some time ago.  Somebody pointed out
that there is a restrictor collet in the hose assy
from Chrysler.  I'm not certain if that's what you
mean by "reducer", but you can look in the Archives on
the site if that's a concern.

Based on that, I'd suggest caution if your PS system
does not behave properly upon installation of a custom
hose.

The PS boxes were the same almost forever, and hoses
are available where I am so far as I know - I did a
'62 recently....  I can give out my part's man's email
address off-list if you'd prefer to try again for the
real deal by mail (presuming that you can't source it
locally).
