Re: IML: C Body HP Manifolds "should" fit 1960

Kenyon

For your "new ride" ( the 1975 Le Baron ) please look at the "C-Body only exhaust manifolds.

For the 1960 Imperial the answer is with the 1972-1978 Dodge exhaust manifolds.  And yes they had two types.  One was with some "ribs" and one was with out.

The diam of the exhaust out-let above just happens to be the same as the 1960 OEM or the 1975 OEM Imperial.  The chamber design of the "Dodge part" is different which makes the flow better than what was used from 1960 to 1966.  Due to design of the exhaust space in the vehicle ,the "Dodge Part" only fits the 1960 to 1966 Imperial.  ( ... if one was to install an RB or B engine into a 1951 to 1958 Imperial they could us the same center dump "Dodge Part", so they could have an functioning exhaust. )   The center dump also on the passenger side is not an issue in using it.

I don't think I'd worry too much about finding truck manifolds, I've had several 400-440 trucks, and the manifolds seem to crack easier from the thermal heat cycles, than  the car manifolds. They are still log style, and the outlets are no bigger than the car manifolds. The HP C- Body are the best choice, for those that really care. The average " FANNYOMETER" would be hard pressed to tell the difference.Ya'll have a nice day, Dave.
