Re: IML: Gary Goers- contact info

Excuse me Henry,
Do you know how payment works when you are from outside the united states?
I am from Mexico have a 57 crown imp and will like to by some parts from gary´s catalog but it says there to send a check and I do not have a bank account in USA, but I have international credit cards do you know if he would take them?
Or is there another way of payment?
Thanks in advance for your help.

Snail Mail, that's it. 37 Amdahl Ln, Kalispell, MT 59901 He gets a ton of e-mails each day and if he got to each one there would be no time for work. Same with phone and faxes. Snail mail gets opened and organized by Conrad who works on a part time basis so Gary gets the orders and Conrad handles incoming revenue etc. Gary is a one man shop. He does all of the production, from making the molds for rubber parts to completing upholstery kits. Also subs out rubber orders and chrome trim pieces, always adding to his list of products. For example, we were missing the horizontal cross pieces for our F hdtp. He used ours from our F cvt. to use as molds. He now offers these cross bars, unique to the 60F, in the catalog. Took two different suppliers to get it right. The first set suffered shrinkage. Puts out a LOT of money up front for set up costs for these items. He does make a living at this, but he got into this through his love for letter cars and went from there. A lot of his continuing work is, in my opinion, still based a lot on his love for the cars and the hobby.

You can order a catalog using the above method. They are $5 currently, I think. Catalogs have order forms and prices. If you know the part number, just order it with plain stationery if you don't have an order blank.

Anyway, that's my Gary ramble for today. You can probably tell I'm really a fan. No way we could have restored our cars over the years without him. Also without Lowell Howe for the Imperials.

Henry Hopkins, 60 cvt.

>For what its worth
My first ever order placed with Gary Goers arrived in twelve days.
From other list members experiences I hadn't expected the order until September.
   Very impressed !

Clay Smith
60 Custom
67 Crown Coupe

That sounds good...

How exactly do you go about placing an order with Gary? Is it by fax only, or is there a number to speak with someone? I'm not even sure of his current website.

Thanks!
