Hi Brad,

Unless you live in a very cold climate and plan on driving the car very often during cold weather, you probably don't need to have a functional heat riser valve.  The car will perform fine without it.  You can just remove the flap from the manifold, install the manifold, and enjoy many hours of fine Imperial motoring.  :o)
