Re: IML: Imperials: A Progressive Disease

Hahaha, you can say that for sure Tom,

Just back from crawling under my 60. Tried to loose the driver side exhaust manifold, not a job for the faint hearted ...

One stud broken so far, despite soaking it for hours in good penetrating oil
Btw, what were these guys at Chrysler thinking in 1960!!

I you remove the stud completely with nut (I have had that "luck" twice so far, but it isbetter then breaking the stud) you will find your self in a refreshing bath of cooling fluid...

Anyway, two more nuts to go and then I can take the manifold off.
Now I have to find me a shop that can weld the broken flange of it!

Well...my diamond ring never leaked transmission fluid and the fur coat never failed to start.  However, it would be a lot easier crawling underneath that ring on my back!  And checking the fluid level on the fur coat master cylinder is a lot easier to reach.

Absolutely NOT!  What is the difference between having your Imperial as opposed to having a diamond ring or a fur coat.  Every day when I walk in my garage I look at my Imperial and smile.  Not only the body style, but every knob and gadget on it, not to mention the ride.  If you think we are sick, at least it's in a good way!

This must mean that we are sick too, as we got a 93 a couple
of weeks ago (with Jim's assistance).  I even bought a new car
cover for it today.
