Re: IML: 1965 electricals

Since you had the battery hooked up to another car, I would think that most suspect. Just for the process of elimination, I would try a battery that is known to be good.

Everything was running fine until he hit the carb.  I had charged the battery with the Volvo and didn't have any problems.  I  could start it, stop it, and start it again.  This is what is confusing me so much.  I am literally tapping every source I can find, including my brother, whom I haven't spoken to in over 11 years, for advice.  I've looked in the fender wells and anywhere he could have hit something electrical, but I didn't actually see what he did, so I'm not quite sure what he could have messed up.

Hi Timothy,

I think I've got to go with Pete as to the fusible link.  If you touched the wrong cable enough to get sparks, even for a moment, the link could have sacrificed its self  to save the rest of the system - which is exactly what it's there for.  I may be wrong, but that is the first place I'd look.

Once again, good luck!
