Since this seems to be a common need in the 55/56
cars, it'd be nice to see photos and a write up of
what was done (on the club site?) for reference.

I have a NOS-looking ring that got snapped.  

I've been looking at solutions, and the fabrication
route seemed most likely, since using JB weld in back
failed, and I wasn't aware that welding was a real
possibility.

I can have them fabricated, I think, but it'll be
expensive.  If it were easy, someone would have done
it and they'd be common...


Can we see the results of the welding work and a
commentary on the technique?
