Re: IML: 58 - good news, bad news

Good luck and welcome back, Hugh! (And sure it could be worse, you could
have stored your car under the lawn at the Tulsa County Courthouse... Can o'
Schiltz, anyone?)

I'm doing better with my personal time capsule. I bought a PT Cruiser the
moment they came out in 2000 and have been saving it as a time capsule in a
somewhat better-attended way. I put break-in mileage on it and now I only
drive it for exercise every 6-8 weeks. It now shows about 3,000 miles, has
never been wet, and still smells new inside. (Oh, and it's worth less than
half of what I paid for it, which was not over sticker!) I keep it covered
in a normal garage... Today is its 7th birthday! 13 more years and I'll take
it to its first show, hopefully alongside my 20,000-mile (by then) '78 NYB
Salon... Maybe I shoulda put the contents of a woman's purse in one of
them...
