Re: IML: 1962 Chrysler : Imperial for Sale on E-Bay_ Item # 190130970775

Interesting timing.
The latest copy of Mopar Muscle chronicles a recent trip across N. Dakota and Monata in a Superbird and the authors constantly complain about how unpleasant a car it was to drive in any distance at any speed. It made me think about how much nicer a similar vinatge Imperial would be for that drive and yet how much less such a car would be worth!

For those of you who are not aware of this. You owe it to yourself to view
this auction. Apparently, many Imperials share something in common with
the (WINGED) cars like the Plymouth Superbird. That is, both were OUTLAWED
at least once in their lifetime. The Superbird from the street and the
IMPERIAL from many Demolition Derbies. Just goes to show you how unfair
life is. The Superbirds are worth $ 100.000 and the Imperials a mere
fraction of that price. One gal lives it's retirement in a heated, climate
controlled garage with all the best. The other (IMPERIAL) often finds
itself out in the cold, rusting and neglected. And sometimes forced into
primitive war with other (LESSER) vehicles to the DEATH. Well, It's
Imperial related so I can post this without recourse or shame. Here's the
website if you care to view the Auction:
