IML: 1960 rear axle question

After driving  150 Miles through the black forest, I felt the car running against the rear brakes.

The rear axel was delivered 100 % perfect repaired ( with  lots of picture documentation !)  by the “famous” JR and had only 5000 Miles since.

Today we unmounted the rear drums ad found a 2-3 mm play on the rear axle shaft.

Thus the drums moved also and the result  was a slight  braking.

Anyone made this experience?

We have to find some rings to mount on the bearings.

Any other idea ?

Or is something wrong in the diff?

I cant find any hint on the imperial Web site .
