It sounds like you're half way there. The re-installation, of a nearly complete assembly should be no problem. One thing I would highly recommend, is to run-in the engine on the ground before installation. You can catch any problems before the engine is back in the car, oil leaks, water leaks, or worse etc. The other thing we do before start-up, is to oil prime the engine before cranking it.
