Re: IML: Electronic distributor

There are dozens of things that can go wrong with the car, other than points, that can make it run poorly, including electronic ignition problems. I never needed AAA until I started driving electronic ignition cars for regular transportation. Anyone who really thinks electronic ignition will make the car run the same all the time must be living in another world.

There are several conversions away from points which allow you to keep your original distributor and can be converted back to points if needed.

The biggest difference is that you may never have to perform another tune up on your car. It will always run the same.

Will run better, starter better and get better milage.  Also will not be having to adjust or replace  points and condsner.

My fellow members,

So people say convert my 1966 Chrysler Imperial from points to having a an electronic distributor.  We'll it run better with the conversion.  I know it will have better fire power.

Your opinions!!!  Rich,
