I have never used any kind of gasket sealant on a carburetor
gasket in all my years of rebuilt engines or rebuilt carburetors. If you use the
new gasket that came with the carb kit or purchases a new base gasket you should
be just fine. There is no pressure on the intake side what so ever & the
small force that is applied via vcaccum is nothing that will leak passed a
properly tightend base gasket.
