IML: 1957 performance ??

Hi Johnny,
Most of the guys here on the list are pretty adamant about keeping
their cars stock, but there are a few of us out here who like to
modify them too.
My first suggestion would be to get the car back to an original
running/driving condition and then go from there.
If you have the original 392 and the original running gear, you'd be
pleasantly surprised as to how well these cars perform restored back
to their original condition.
I agree about the disk brakes and dual master cylinder upgrades, but I
think the other things could be left alone and you'd still have a
pretty awesome car.
Let me know if I can be of help. I have (2) '57's and a '58, two in
drivable condition and all are undergoing restoration.
-Cheers,
-Mike in Oregon
