IML: '61 Imperial Heater Hose Clamp?

Rob;

I spent some time looking at images of '61 Imperials on the club website that display the engine compartment.  My Imperial is a '62 and has a bracket that supports the heater hoses at the alternator.  In looking at the '62 pictures it appears that there is no similar bracket on the '61 models.  There is one picture shown of a '61 at

There are a few other '61s shown and none of them have the bracket that my '62 has.  There are also pictures of '60 models that can be found from the "by year" link on the club website.  I spotted one photo that showed a case with the two heater hoses secured to the fender well with a plastic restraining strap similar to what I have seen on '70s era Chryslers and Imperials.  I think the illustrations of the '61 models on the website are representative of that year as being different from the '62 and later models.  I believe that the hose routing and presence or lack of brackets is the same on both AC equipped and non-AC cars.  I saw two different ways to secure the hoses, one with an aluminum strap and one that appears to be some sort of black clamp that went around the two hoses, but did not appear to be attached to the alternator.  Perhaps a few more '61 Imperial owners can check their cars and respond.

It appears that the Imperials of that era did not secure the two heater hoses to the fender well.  The possible reason for this may be that the engineers wanted to spread out any flexing of the hoses over as large a length of hose as possible to keep frequent flexing from engine rev. changes from stressing the hoses to a minimum.
