Chris, to properly identify the ring&pinion, you need the 3rd member casting number. The last 3 numbers will be the ones to use, 741-742 or the latest489. Ring & pinions will not inter -change between different housings. 741-742 use shimmed pinions, 489 uses a crush (one time only)sleeve to set rolling torque on the pinion. Check the housing, since all three 3rd members will fit, and who knows what's been changed.Dave.
