That will be great David,

Please count me in for a stater boot too!
Please let me know if they have more of them on the self.
There might be other folks interested too, so maybe you can put some details about the vendor on this list then.

Thanks,

Rob

Hi Tom and David,

Yep, the 59 and 60 starters are the same (and quite hard to find these days..) and they do have  a rubber boot over the fork to protect the mechanism from moisture, dust etc.
I am still looking for a new boot too, but without success so far.
Maybe Gary Goers have them? Since he is the guy that duplicates lots of rubber Chrysler/Imperial parts he might also have this item.
I will check his catalog, the reason that I didn't do that earlier is the fact that Gary is not the fastest shipper in the world....(to put it nicely :)

So if anyone on the list knows a source for those rubber starter fork boots, please let us know!!

I believe the 59 and 60 starters are the same and it does have a rubber boot over the fork.  I couldn't find one when I had my starter rebuilt.

I am rebuilding my 1959 Imperial  Crown starter. Does this starter come with a rubber boot to protect the solenoid to starter gear fork? If so, does anyone know of a source for new rubber boots? I bought an NOS boot for another Plymouth that I have and the rubber ( being 46 years old ),
was very rigid. When I removed my starter from the engine on the 59 Imp. it did not have any rubber.
Thanks, David
