Dick Benjamin quoted in TIME

This is the quote I keep hearing about. Fact is, I gave them (the AP) a
reasoned discussion about fire protection, the expertise of the fire crews,
and the history of fire in this area for the last 26 years; spent almost
1/2 hour on camera, taking them around and showing them both the lay of the
land and some of the cars. The reporter babe rode in the back of my ex-army
4X4 all around the property, looking and filming. So all they quote is
that drivel about it being the wrong season. If they only had 15 seconds
available, I wish they'd told me, I could have edited my remarks down to one
sentence that would transmit much more information. Now I know why folks
refuse to take time to talk to them! She was cute, though.
