Fuselage Steering coupler question

When my rag joint became brittle and fell apart in my '70 LeBaron I did what everyone else would do...... I cried.  I too, had trouble finding an O.E. replacement. So, I took two of those "flat donuts" and put them together to approximate the thickness of  the "hockey puck". I check it occasionally to make sure it is o.k. My steering works and feels great.

Subject: IML: Fuselage Steering coupler question

I need a new steering coupler on my 72 Lebaron with tilt/tele column, the coupler I'm referring to is the large rubber disc with the four bolts running through it. It's the part directly in the way when you're attempting to remove the # 7 spark plug.  I need the part number for this item so I can do a search for it, unless someone on the list has a source for a new one...
