OK so now Ive seen an mint condition origional 59 with the golden comando that
even had the origional stickers on the valve colvers even (wow, man!) . So
here goes. The golden Comando 361-cid V8, 308 HP was painted red, w/ valve
covers and air cleaners yellow (bright), the carberator was painted Gold. This
was from a 59 sport fury. Now I had seen rebuilds where many people had
painted the valve covers and the air cleaner covers gold.(but these were re-
builds, not a mint condition engine. One point, this particular engine had a
dealer installed dual-four barell setup. (from a 58) I seriously doubt that he
went through the trouble to paint the valve covers to match the air cleaner
covers (which by the way- still had the stickers on them too) just to do this.
I hope that finallizes all the argumentation. This was the real thing in #1
perfecto condition. I wass salivating when I saw her. The forward look,
forever.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
