[FWDLK] '55 Plymouth Driveshaft Problems

Now that I have my oil leaks fixed, can anyone advise me on the best way
to go on
repairing a driveshaft. Mine doesn't have u-joints, although I'm told
that there is a
kit you can buy to convert to a U-joint configuration. Since I am open
to upgrading
(not a show car, just a nice driver) is there any advantage to
converting? Andy Bernbaum has a kit to rebuild my original for about
$150.00. Any thoughts would be appreciated, including other sources for
these type of parts. A local mechanic quoted me a ballpark figure of
$300 to convert to U-joints. Best of the season to you all.
