Just some stuff to keep you informed...
1) I have changed the name of the web site from "The Forward Look
Resource Center" to "The Forward Look Network" (FL-NET). I did this for
two reasons. First, the word "Network" goes better with ".net", and
will hopefully make it easier for folks to find and remember. The other
reason was, simply, I thought it sounded better -- like a network of
owners, or like a television network. We may as well just keep the FLML
or [FWDLK] name for the mailing list.
2) The web server, while running somewhat well, still keeps puking
occasionally. To get more technical, the hard drive I am using
exclusively for the paging file keeps dying, thus killing the server. I
hope to replace it in the next couple of weeks, but again, time is the
problem. I'm starting my new job on Monday, and I have the World of
Wheels car show on Thursday through Sunday... so time is pretty scarce.

The more hits it gets, the better idea I will have what we'll need to
buy to improve it.
3) Calendar sales were great -- we raised $950 total. Taking out for
shipping losses (with bad guesses on postage) and web server expenses,
we're at $687.25. I want to use part of this for a) the embroidered
shirts/hats, b) pre-costs for next year's calendar, c) christmas
cards/mousepads/whatever?, and d) FLML get-togethers this summer.
4) WHEN the server gets going full speed, I will offer email addresses
to those who want them, as well as web space for anyone that wishes to
put up Forward Look related materials. (Sorry, but terms of my informal
agreement with Ketchum (my employer, and our free internet provider)
does not allow for me to let any commercial vendors have web space for
advertising. (They can be listed in the suppliers section, though)).
There will also be a public picture upload section. Eh. Well, as soon
as I learn -how- to do it, I'll do it. =)
That's about it. I'll keep y'all posted on any new happenings.
