The shop manual lists them as 30 amp. The 40 amp was probably used on Chry., but will interchange. Mark did you ever check how close are serial numbers are on the Furys?

Does anybody on the List happen to know what amperage the generators on V-8 equipped '57 Plymouths were?  Trying to decide between 30 and 40 and can't find any confirmation in my literature.  Were Fury generators higher amps than standard generators?  Any help greatly appreciated!!
