[FWDLK] Where to go for a new exhaust?

Hola.

It's time to put a new exhaust on the Dodge. ('58 Royal D-500 with
duals.) Where to go? Anyone someone here wants to recommend? I'm
hoping to get it done in New Haven, CT, though the car's in Frenchtown,
NJ right now -- at I-78 near the PA border, so if there is someone you'd
recommended who's around there, that's where I'll go.

I called Midas in New Haven and was told I'd have to bring the car in so
that they might take a look, do some research, and see what had to be
custom-fabricated based on their research before they could offer a
price quote. This sounded way too involved -- I thought Midas had
records on new car exhausts from the dawn of time (remembering that
late-1960s Midas commercial where DeSotos, Hudson, Edsels drove toward
camera out of the mists as one voiceover announcer intoned year and
make, and another told that the company could supply exhaust for cars no
longer being made as easily as for cars in production). Was the guy
telling the truth?

Thanks in advance,

Chris Whalen
