There is a local junkyard just outside Kansas City that has several '57 and
'58 Imperials. The bad news is this guy is sort of "lost in time". The only
way to comunicate with him is in person, because he does not have a phone.
Do you get the picture of the type of junkyard I am describing? He also will
only sell the complete car.
I own a '58 Imperial. After spending a considerable amount of time
searching for a 392, I found this guy. The car I bought was 100% complete
and basically untouched since 1968 when it was parked in this junkyard. I
guess I was lucky. The motor cranked right over after replacing the battery
and fluids. I still had it rebuilt anyway (which is a whole different
story).
If anyone is interested in details or directions I can post them or
e-mail you directly.
Does anyone know where i can get a distibutor for my 392? I would like
to find an electronic conversion kit, but I don't want shell out a huge
amount.

P.S. anybody interested in a "near perfect" winshield for a 1957 Imperial?
