Re: [FWDLK] 1959 Chrysler

happy thanksgiving to all, just thought i'd
drop a line , a couple months ago a friend of mine came and gave me a deal i
could not refuse. he wanted a rusted out 67 vw i had sitting out back and
told me he would haul over a 59 chrysler 2 dr ht from a junkyard. i thought
there wouldn't be much left of it but anything is better than that vw, so we
made a deal. i think i got the better part of this deal. the car is straight
with rust in the rockers and the floor, not real bad, a few pieces of trim
were missing and i found most of these parts already. the glass is all good
and interior needs work. it has a 383 4bbl w/auto, the motor is stuck but i
think that's minor . one of the golden lions is missing, it was up on wheels
and sat for many years. he paid 150.00 for it, a steal. most cars in
junkyards are pretty picked over but i can't believe how complete this one
is. the junkyard is a small out of place one which helped, i forgot all about
this one and it's only 20 miles away, i went there once back in the 60's with
a friend of mine, that car was probably there at that time. the owner said
that it had a bad valve and was parked. i think it is one of the cleanest
looking chryslers they made. enough said, stokie
