Re: [FWDLK] 318 poly block

Hi, Dave, thanks for responding. What I originally intended to do, was to
swap the crank from my broken 61 318 into the 65 318, but the bolt patterns
on the back of the blocks are different. The 61 I pulled out of the car
myself, the 65 came out of a 65 Coronet. The valve covers, water pumps,
oilpans, etc. are interchangeable. My transmission is a torqueflite[cast
iron] with separate aluminum bellhousing. The bellhousing just will not
boltup to the 65 block. I have actually located an engine and transmission
locally, so it is not a critical problem, but I hate unanswered questions,
you know? Thanks again, Dan K.
