Re: [FWDLK] Fw: 59 WAGON FUEL TANK

Hi John
If you have all the hardware off the bottom the only thing holding is the filler tube inside the grommet. just a little wrestle and it should be out. The sending unit wire is plenty long so it is not to worry about.
Good luck

Subject: 59 WAGON FUEL TANK

Hi all,
I am hoping someone can help me with the removal of the fuel tank from my 59 Suburban.  I have all the mounting brackets loose, as well as the screws at the filler neck, but I cannot get the fill tube to come away from the fuel filler neck, or grommet.  The tank swings freely side to side, but I can't see above the tank, so I don't know what's the hangup???????  Help!!!  John in WI
