Vincent, The 1958 dimmer switch is part number 1689 512. Part number 1881 938 was used on 1959 and later models. My parts books go up to 1966, and it was used at least up to that year. It may fit in the 1958 model, though, but I am not sure what was changed from 1958 to 1959.
