Re: [FWDLK] 58 Belvedere FS

Don't bet on it, this weenie had the car for sale on Excite
(Classifieds 2000) two years ago. I told him I'd give him $1500 for it then
and he got mad citing some book he had stating it was worth $5500. He's a
Chevy guy that happened to pick up this car cheap and thinks he can retire
on it's sale. Car was also originally red, and the door was still caved in
back then too. Said he had a replacement door, I see it still hasn't
appeared.

Hi Nick,
Just remember, once something reaches 30+ years it becomes gold plated
(wink). For parts, they turn to platinum, or unobtainium. I looked at this
car too, and no you are not a cheap ass, $500.00 would be overpaying. Just
another parts car that all of us would have paid 50 bucks for not too many
years ago, but because the guy has access to ebay, it worth 1000 times that.
Don't worry though, when it doesn't't sell perhaps he will wake up and put
it out there for what it is really worth. But don't bet on it!

Just my 2 pennies,
