These vent frames can be a nightmare to repair or have chromed, because they
are all hard-riveted together.
On my left side vent frame, when I came to take it apart and have it
rechromed, I had to get a toolmaker buddy to spend hours turning up all the
little rivets in order to be able to put it back together looking like new.
Now however, a good friend from Canada, Greg Leggatt, is selling car packs
of these rivets so that you can rebuild these vent frames and side glass
frames real easy.
I just received my rivet packs from Greg and they are excellent
quality...and a most reasonable price.
