Re: [FWDLK] engine colors

Does anyone know the correct color for the air cleaner on the "59  Plymouth 318 engine.  It's not really red and not really orange.  Kind of in between.  Is the color still available or is there an acceptable close substitute?   The hood springs on this vehicle are red also but they seem to be more of a redder red.  Thanks in advance for any info.     John Z in Mosinee

Not sure about 55, but I believe that in 56, 277 2-bbl motors had red air cleaners while power pack 4-bbl 277s had yellow air cleaners.

It mentions Yellow air filter for 55 Plymouth V8. I have seen these in pictures but my looks originally red. Any comments?
