[FWDLK] rare non-Mopar car trouble

Hello,

This is non-Mopar related, so I am taking some liberty here.Delete immediately if offended:

My brother just bought a 1948 Playboy, one of 97 built.

The fuel pump is shot (diaphram).

He is not mechanically inclined.

The fuel pump is AC Delco #1396, but his local parts stores cant find that number.

Would anybody have a helpful advice for him?
