[FWDLK] 6/12 v conversion

List members,
Please, please, no more "comments" about my blunder. I said up front I had no experience running 6v starters on 12v.
I am very happy it can be done with no ill effects to the starter.
This reminds me of a story. I work in home remodeling and one of the electricians he hired mistakenly hooked the microwave ovencircuit to 220V. The homeowner said the microwave made a big POP, and smoked a bit. The electrician was obliged to buy the homeowner a new microwave oven.
The same  dodo electrician hooked the 220V hot tub to 110V! The digital tub controls would not work ,of course, until the hot tub specialist determined the problem and wired it correctly. The electrician denied that one, and the evidence was gone.
