Not sure just when Chrysler started using the data tag in the U.S., but if you want to save money and get the listings for all Dodges from 1950 to 1959, plus Plymouth, DeSoto, Chrysler and Imperial, purchase Cars & Parts "American Car ID Numbers 1950-59".  Judging by the photo given on the ebay site, that is where he got the pages.  (The picture is out of focus for a reason, I suspect.)  And which is why you might some other year on the other side (1959 on the back of 1958 and 1953 on the back of 1954).

You order a copy (item# 50S IDG) for $29.95 (plus $3.00 S/H) from
Cars & Parts
PO Box 482
Sidney OH
45365-0482
Prices are in U.S. dollars, same for US and Canada.

They have similar guides for 1960-69 (60S IDG) and 1970-79 (70S IDG).

Group,

I saw this auction on Ebay (below).   Did they really have good representation of numbers for the 54 - 56 cars?   I have always heard that the numbers started in 57 or 58.  What say you?
