Sometime ago, I purchased a vacuum pump and brake
bleed kit much superior in quality than the Mityvac. This has an all brass
vacuum piston cylinder and a vacuum pressure meter. It comes in a plastic case
with the necessary attachments for pressure and vacuum work. The company I
purchased this from is Brodhead Garret which specializes in Industrial,
Vocational, and Technology equipment. The catalog number is B610390 and

While the vacuum pump works great, you might still
have air leakage problems through the cylinder screws or bleeding
hoses.
Just recently, I had the rear cylinders replaced by
a Cuban guy that used to work on these oldies back in Cuba, and he purged all
four wheels in less than 5 minutes. All he did was to open up the spigots
while another guy pumped the pedal.

Hello List,
This subject has been discussed previously; however, Spring
is here and the FL cars are being prepped for the summer, so maybe it
will be of interest to the List--
I have all-new brake cylinders and new
master cylinder already installed. All the lines had
been flushed and blown out.
Please instruct me on how to proceed with recharging the
system...specifically which bleeder do I bleed first.. there are 6. I know to
keep the reservoir topped off and I have a spring-loaded ballcheck
bleeder, but it seems to be not working too well. I don't have anybody readily
available to be the brake pedal-pusher...There was dicussion about a
Mityvac...where would I get one, if it really is "the way to go"?
