Re: [FWDLK] VIN Tag

Title: Re: [FWDLK] VIN Tag
Why not have the national Plymouth club buy the VIN tag outright?
They could then either document the permanent destruction of the tag,
or keep it on file for historical purposes in perpetuity.
Either way, the tag’s use on an actual vehicle would forever be precluded.

I have a Sunbeam Tiger (it’s Mopar-related, ya know), and their club has done a
pretty good job keeping track of the cars out there in the fleet. Seems there were/are
some people turning Alpines into Tigers, and the existence of records
of VINs and serial numbers has helped discourage the fakes.

It's a "low" alright, - and I wouldn't be surprised if someone from the DMV "pays him a visit".
The guy's either gutsy or just plain dumb.............

Now it's getting to a new low:

this is an auction for a vin tag and body tag off a '57 Fury.  I wonder who will bid on it?  Community, I for one would be REALLY interested in seeing what certain people would do with these pieces.
