It sounds like a bad ground on one of your right lights, try loosening and retightening the bolts that hold the lights to the body of the car and I think you will solve your problem, also remove and reinstall the bulbs. another problem I just thought of is cross contact between the fillaments of one of the bulbs but I think it is a bad ground.

Subject: [FWDLK] Turn Signal Flasher Problem

Dear Members,

My '56 has an malfunction in the right front turn signal.  Looks like a low voltage problem because the light is very dim when flashing.  Also both the right and the left front signals flash simultaneously when the right signals are engaged (as it it had emergency flashers), and both are equally dim.  However, when you move the lever to the left turn position the left front lamp lights (as it is supposed to), and with perfect brightness while the right one remains unlit, as it is supposed to be.  The rear lamps flash correctly on both sides.

Could it be something as simple as a defective flasher unit or should I be looking for a wiring problem.  I know next to nothing about electrical systems.  One of my future purchases will be a volt meter, but I don't know how much function I need for automotive troubleshooting.  Any thoughts/recommendations would be appreciated.
