[FWDLK] A question for you wagon owners....(past and present)

I have the tailgate apart on a '55 windsor wagon. It didn't roll up and
down smoothly, I figured the mechanism just needed some oiling (worked on
the windows), but I was wrong-it is nicely greased up still. The issue is
the two tracks on either side of the window have deteriorated. It looks
like there used to be some type of liner in there, but I can't for the
life of me figure out what it was. Anyone have any thoughts on how to fix
this? I'd prefer to leave the glass in, and I'd really rather not make new
channels if thats all there ever was. Thanks in advance,

~dave
