Hi all,
Finally...I just got home from
purchasing a 59 Sport Fury convertible... Ahhh, not so
fast! Other than the name, the convertible parts and a clean WI
title, she is not much to write home about. Except for the fact you
cannot find them everyday of the week! I am under the
impression I am the third/fourth owner of this car. She started out
her long life in Waupaca WI and was always registered
to people no more than ten miles from the original dealer or
owner...so I was told...I am about 75 miles from there, so I supposed she is
quite homesick tonight!
White on white with blue
interior, swivel seats, PS, radio, 318 with power pack, torqueflite, trunk
kit... So much for what she came with...She is now either for
parts...or my 59 CA Belvedere coupe will become her half sister and take on her
soft top personality! Yeah I know...she wouldn't really be a Sport
Fury...right...and I don't look the same as I did 43 years ago either! So,
I will put her away for now, as I have at least four other major projects
standing in her way. She will have to be content sitting in the hay mow for
now...after all, the last twelve years she spent in a dark and lonely shed
next to a young whipper snapper, a 68 Road Runner, she can now talk to someone
her own age...the 59 from CA to possibly be her organ recipient!
