Re: [FWDLK] '58 windshield

These part numbers do apply to Plymouth convertibles for 1957 to 1959
(NAGS - W453).

The 1957-59 Plymouth hardtop glass was used on 1957 Dodge/DeSoto/Chrysler
hardtops. (NAGS - W451).

A third style windshield was used by Plymouth, Dodge, DeSoto and Chrysler
sedans and wagons for 1957-59 (NAGS - W454).

Imperials, naturally, used their own glass for all 1957 to 1963 models, plus
1964-66 convertbles (NAGS - W465).

If you decide to locate a windshield through a glass company, quote the NAGS
number. A clear windshield is prefixed with "C" while a tinted unit is
"T".

To Rog Van Hoy,
According to the Parts Book-
'58 Desoto Sp. 4 D., Sp. Cl. Cp., Cv. Cp., is-

1695 690 ...for plain glass
1695 691.... for Solex
1759 485.... Solex and shaded.
The same numbers are used for Dodges and Chryslers ,1957-9.
In other words, any 4 Ht, 2 Ht or Convertible 57-9 will interchange.
(Imperial excluded).
If anybody disagrees, please speak up.

Would one or more of you knowledgeable folks tell me the interchange for a
'58 DeSoto hardtop windshield? If anyone has a lead on a good windshield
that would be great too.

Also looking for a rust free front clip for '58 Fireflite or Firedome.
