Re: [FWDLK] Nerves of Steel

Speaking of WD 40 - ----I think it was around 1985, the family and I were
heading down to Florida for a week and ran into a terrific rainstorm in
Illinois. My 1980 Dodge Van engine cut out so I coasted down an off-ramp.
After numerous tries, she wouldn't fire, so I got out in the pouring rain
and sprayed WD 40 on plug wires and, presto, she fired and we were on our
way. Another time I was on my job, driving up in Northern Wisconsin by the
UP Mich border and had to call my dispatcher from a remote pay phone before
leaving area, only to discover some *&^%$ idiot had poured what appeared to
be Coke/Pepsi on the payphone buttons so they were stuck. I happened to have
WD40 in truck and sprayed it on phone buttons and that unstuck the buttons
so I could make my call. I shared that payphone story with the WD40 company
when they had a contest on uses of their product but never heard anything
back from them. ( But for rusty nuts and bolts, I prefer PB Blaster. )
