Re: [FWDLK] white choke line sleeving

The white insulation on the heat line from the exhaust manifold to the carburetor choke is asbestos material.  The only hobby source of this that I am aware of is McVey's Cadillac parts in Kansas who carry sizes from small tube to exhaust pipe as many cars just prior to the forwardlook years and back had their head pipes wrapped.  Their web page is  The wrap is not shown on the web but would be in their catalog.  If you contact them by phone or e-mail, be sure to tell them what size tube or pipe you are needing to cover and know the length you need.

Subject: white choke line sleeving

Hello List Members,,,
Does anyone have about 6" of the white insulation sleeving that goes over the auto choke stainless steel line.  Or you probably know where they are throwing it away??
All auto stores in my area have junked their old choke stove kits ,,,all we need is that white sleeving.
If you have,, or know where I can get please advise.
Does anyone sell it NOS?.
