On another note, anyone know
where I can get a lower radiator hose for my Corvair? Or maybe some muffler
bearings?
When I used to teach Auto Mechanics, upstairs at
the old Marmon building at 22nd & Michigan in Chicago, we occasionally had
a smart-alec kid who was around when a car was giving trouble starting.
Often, we'd send him downstairs to the Diesel to borrow "About a yard of
ignition spark." Usually the deisel instructors would inform the
youth that they "don't use ignition spark in this department," but suggested
to substitute "a pound of compression heat."
We could usually keep the youth's comments down
for about a week, after looking for the "left handed wrench;" or the "valve
lash fitting",etc.
