Re: [FWDLK] Trans problem

Rich,

Many years ago, my sister had an old 61 Dodge Lancer with slant 6 and
TorqueFlight. It suddenly developed a similar problem. The pushbutton cable
got stuck in "Drive". We push started it and drove it to a tranny shop to
check it out. The mechanic pulled the pan and fixed it. He said it was only
a fragment of metal that jammed the shifter. He didn't say exactly where,
but he only charged 10 bucks to fix it.

Hey all you trans guys - my 60 TF wont go into reverse. I removed the
neutral start switch and while moving the shift cable by hand the lever
inside the trans stops right in front of the hole - that's neutral. I
hear a definite click as if it's hitting a stop. It should go in a
little past neutral to get reverse, correct ? Thanx. Rich.
