Dave, does it crank and won't turn over or nothing happening at all ?
I had a persistent problem with my '55 Windsor (same engine, 6-volt also) and
it turned out to be a dried-out and cracked little black rubber hose that is
some kind of venting tube for the fuel tank...I think air was getting in and
pushing the gas back toward the fuel tank, starving the carburetor, and during
cranking, by the time the fuel traveled back up to the engine, the battery
would be dead...good luck, Barry
